With your support, premature babies stand a chance
Mother’s Day for Caitlin was off to a beautiful start when, at 32 weeks pregnant, she began feeling niggling pains. By 2pm they were unbearable. Rushing to the local medical centre in Lightning Ridge, the nurse told Caitlin she was in early labour and had started to lose blood.
With no specialist neonatal care in town and the closest hospital four hours away, Caitlin urgently needed help from the Flying Doctor. Your tax-deductible gift today will ensure no mother or baby is left without access to the critical care they need during an emergency.
FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN HELP
Thanks to our supporters, outback communities have received life-saving medical care over the last year.
Because of you, we could reach further and touch more lives. Your support has significantly impacted the provision of vital healthcare services where they are most needed.
With your help, we conducted 4,700 inter-hospital transfers of high acuity patients and emergency retrievals for individuals who needed urgent critical care. You helped conduct 3,787 face-to-face mental health consultations, providing essential support to people facing challenges. Your support provided 3,774 dental care visits at 666 clinics to treat and prevent oral health problems for families in remote outback communities.
